Public Forum Debate

Service Description

Thursdays 3:30pm PST - 5pm PST Public Forum (PF) teaches the fundamentals of competitive debate within the doubles format. Students can expect the same argumentation training as other debate forms but geared towards the current Public Forum resolution. This course will begin with topic literature discussions to build background knowledge and research pools on the current subject. Then students will write cases and finally they will practice debating those cases and refining their strategy. Students can expect homework as the class is meant to prepare them for Public Forum debate tournaments.
